%package% list

can anyone direct me to a list of the naming conventions i could use for
%package% in the mpnewcharacter.fl file?

Naming conventions come from the loadouts.ini file in DATA\SHIPS folder, and the %%PACKAGE%% portion is actually referenced to newcharacter.ini in the DATA\CHARACTERS folder which in turn is referenced loadouts.ini. pretty complicated, huh? I suggest looking at this **** TUTORIAL **** changing starting ship in multiplayer for your answers. It's less complicated and a sure fire way to make your starting ship changes in just one file instead of 2 or more.

Not complicated at all... I used to build gui's and spent alot of time layering graphics and combining multiple files to read from eachother so it makes sense, but I'm sure theres more to it than that.

there's one mod where you can reveal parts of the map to everyone creating a new character, and it's all done in the mpnewcharacter.fl file. Unfortunately, I haven't found a list that can decode those humbers. You know how you see

well I know there are numbers to reference everything on the map, even zones and trade lanes. Someday I hope to compile a reference on all of them, but that's off in the distant future.
