In a mod i downloaded awhile back there was a sabre that had level 11 hardpoints...although i cant remember which one, BTW Sub, do u know where i can find a modded server to play on? urs doesnt appear on my list, cause i look every time for frostbite and it doesnt appear any suggestions?

I tried to make level 11 hardpoints and weapons....didn't work. Level 11 hardpoints stay as level 10 hardpoints, and level 11 weapons become level 1...they will mount on anything. As an interesting side effect....level 11 hardpoints will accept both guns and turrets.

you see a list of all gun HP types, and there's no hp_gun_special_11.
you can try to add one, but I doubt that it functions, more probably is that you screw up your fl installation -> you can make a backup, and screw up only the file.

I assume "%d" is a variable, so the engines are called HpEngine0 and then the number

hmm mabye thats how u get it to wrok although i am unfamiliar ith working with .dll's i can only work with fleids thats aboyut it otherwise im lost

Hmm - knew that it wouldn't work - BUT, this one has got me a little stumped, it still goes down the same vein of Subxero here, but with the twist as well....
I have my capships (hehe) with their be all and end all hulls/weapons!
Now, as you all know, you can mount ANY capship weapon on any gun mount, hence seeing lots and lots of people with the most ridiclous ships every.....
Is there a way though to make them ONLY mountable on capships? I currently have them set to class 10's, and have removed class 10 turret capability from everyship in the game(forgot to make the guns turrets first though - doh!), but i wanted to know if anyone has found a way appart from making them class 10 turrets, from keeping normal ships from getting them. I have trains which have powerful turrets, but they can't be remounted if you dismount them (stops them from being transferred) But the capships have upgradable guns so that a) It adds more 'fun', b) I can charge through the nose for a kick everything and kill ship...lol. I have my hull only torps to take em out, and considered making turrets that are 'ion' cannon and then another sort (1 for hull, 1 for shields.....)
but keeping them to capships only is the problem right now......specifically - gunboats mounting battleship turrets etc!!!
So anyone KNOW how to get round this (ie - one type of capship mounting anothers weapons??)
Also, out of interest, you can kill capships easy (mine have 500k hull to make em tough to take out......team work focussed MP) by targetting one section in your hud (tail) and pounding that with torps - bout 100k damage = BOOM for whole ship, very funny as players die with most of their hull intact (technically a hull breach, so i left this in, tactical playing )
