Regarding vertical strafing

Does anyone remember the method used? I remember someone saying something about it but never paid much attention until the Ghost was constructed. The extreme agility of the Ghost would be much better complemented if i had that method.
I think it mighta been me...but i don't know anything.
Everyone will have seen this before - but it made me think if AI has this command - can't we?
evade_dodge_corkscrew_roll_throttle = 1
evade_dodge_corkscrew_roll_flip_direction = False
HOwever - i had a peek at controls just to see if there was sommat i had missed (lets face it - who read the manual?) - but nothing

However - i still wonder - would it be possible to use a manouver that the AI uses to dodge fire to ROLL about on the axis? - as for the strafe up and down - well i steer that one......(unless you can find somewhere the strafe direction is statemented in an +x, - x direction and change it for the +y, -y instead and see if that does anything at all?

p.s - we have seen that you are able to assign keys to something - so if you can find where the hell the strafe direction is coming from - maybe a copy and re-verticees that location and then a key assign command? or am i mad!
