Cmp Importer

ok guys i just got my milkshape registered and now i wanna add sum hardpoints to my eagle, still all this shiot ****ing confises the hell out of me any other good tutorials for making an fl ship, i need one for a seveve noob lol, but file do i import to add the triagle to for my hardpoints for my gun i need a lil explantion why its a triangle also

you can make a triangle in milkshape by clicking the vertex button, adding 3 vertexes, then clicking the face button and then each of your 3 vertices to join them into a triangle. Its a triangle because the exporter was just programmed to look for those.

but how do i make it a hardpoint and does thi automatically come up in the .cmp cause i am fooling aorund witht he program just trying to familirize myself with it, also when u import the .cmp whats are the selections u get when u open it like u can choose is it diff parts of the craft?

There is a thread subxero that might help you - its in the tutorials forum. can't remember the name - but htink it is ship building from scratch or something like that . It tells you how to create the triangles, then name them under the groups in milkshape (select the group, click rename, type in HpWeapon01, click rename - you have a weapon hardpoint!). He explains it alot better than me - mainly cos i am in the same situation as you....I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT I AM DOING!!! lol

LOL, well right now i am trying to edit whats there u know like edit the eagle for instance i find it alot easier working offa sumthing there getting used to it and then building what u want from scracth u know, makes it easier to test to see whats diff what to fix and to get a feel for what u are doing i reccomend doing that lol , try it and thanx
