The general place to discuss MOD''ing Freelancer!

Weapon Stats

there r a couple of weapons stats that i dont know what they mean:

1. toughness
2. damage_per_fire
3. parent_impulse
4. child_impulse
5. HP_child
6. LODranges
7. force_gun_ori
8. impulse (in the explosin section)

1. Used by the AI to determine how "tough" the ship is (i.e. "I'm not engaging, they're just too tough"

2. Doesn't do anything that I've been able to see

6. The ranges at which each LOD (Level of Detail) model is visible, if a model only has one LOD it will be something like: 0, 1200 meaning you can see it up to 1200m away in the game.

The rest I don't mess with so I can say for certain what they do.

7: Determines whether the beam can fire off axis to the barrel. Set to true for fixed weapon emplacements that use the liberty cruiser forward gun model. That way you can have similar weapon types.

Impulses as a whole determine how much force the turret/barrel flies when destroyed.
