I recently reinstalled Freelancer after a major error occured while trying to edit files. Because of the entire Sirius System being explored (I had the entire system explored and charted) and all the money I had gotten over that time, I kept my saves. Now, I've been trying to reinstall and then input the saves back in, but every time I do so the game crashes to desktop. I also tried placing the Liberty Dreadnought mod back in, but because of the saves I can't use the game without restarting, which I really don't want to do. Do I have any options here, to getting the saves to work with the game without crashing, and not having to restart the game?
