this basically is the new commodity...slaves!!!
politically not that correct, but it could be useful...
they could be bought at the pirate bases of the outcasts and the corsairs (or looted by shooting armored transports and *destructable* luxury liners ---> ENCOUNTERS

Personally I find the idea more than a little repulsive, and thats probably why why you haven't received replies from anyone else either. Why not just suggest hostage rescue missions with time limits or something?

Oooo, pretty....what do we blow up first?

i think its a fair good idea personally but then u would need a armoured transport to move them about

In missions with capturing enemy commanders, I think you can sell them. Not sure if I tried it without Rebalance...

I meant that way...the pirates take hostages (slaves---famous personalities)
and must protect them from being rescued by police forces...
and the police (bounty hunters and other lawful people) must free them...
that was the way I planned it...
so for everyone a little bit of hostage...*g*

WTF??? what is all this nonsense about capturing slaves being "repulsive?" I don't remember any complaints over the destructible universe mods. So it isn't okay to take a few prisoners of war, but blowing up the entire universe is perfectly viable? I never imagined we would have such a strong anti-discrimination sentiment. Let's face it, Freelancer is not about equal opportunity killing, or even a game of equal opportunity to be bought, sold, or worse.

When I played privateer, (freelancer is a clone of which) I think my greatest pleasure was blasting the confed and kilrathi capital ships to bits and then collecting all of the evacuees as the spoils of war. You might say, raiding transports is better; more profitable... but capturing people, esp furry cat people as in privateer, has, in my humble opinion, a richer significance to it.

I'm alarmed that no one, besides the creator of this post, has voiced this opinion thus far.
