Copying a ship?

Is there a way to make a copy of a ship?

I have a Eagle, I changed shiparch.ini for a bit more armor. But I fight a group of people who also fly Eagles. I don't want them to have increased armor. Is there a way where I can make another ship just like the eagle, except it has more armor, and make a station where i can buy it?

Yes, just copy the shiparch stuff, make the new base and copy the market and goods files so it can be sold at that base. However, if your going to call it an Eagle and pass it off as an original unmodded eagle then your going to be called a cheater and rightly so.

As cheaters are not very well liked you may find the detailed response needed to answer your question is not forth coming.

However, here and i know i say it can be done but its not simple and its not easy. Lots of work is involved.
