chnaging gun skins on your ship

ok now when im playing i see my guns mounted on my ship. and sum weps have diff looking guns like the fury3 is diff from the dissolver. the dissolver ha a gattling gun looking skin and i want all my guns to have that skin. now i have tried numerous things but i cant get it to chnage i chnaged the da_archetype but im clue, does anyone know

this did it for me:
In weapon_equip.ini

nickname=fc_or_gun01_mark03
ids_name=263222
ids_info=264222
;DA_archetype=equipment\models\weapons\li_plasma_blaster.cmp <-- old
;material_library=equipment\models\li_equip.mat <-- old
DA_archetype=equipment\models\weapons\rh_gamma_beamer.cmp
material_library=equipment\models\rh_equip.mat
...
...
The thing to remember here is to copy both the 'DA_archetype=' and 'material_library=' lines together.

Have you noticed that some weapon models, like the br_auto_shotgun.cmp, shoot twice per cannon (I think some may shoot three times per cannon, but I'm not sure)? I believe that the ku_auto_blaster does this as well, or at least, one of the kusari weapon models does. Seems like the ones with five or more barrels do this, but I've just been playing around with different weapon models and I'm not sure yet what does what. I just found it odd. Anybody else have any info on this?

what file do i need to open in the frelancer game file?

The number of fire sources for a weapon seem to be controlled by the HpFire0X hardpoints. These are located in the .3db node with 'gun' or 'barrel' in its name. They dont seem to be referenced anywhere else in the weapons files so i assume adding harpoints here will give the weapons multiple sources of fire.
