Finding out hardpoint names?

I'm adding all the battleships and gunboats to the game and the only thing i cant do is find out the hardpoint names. How can I find them out? Thanks.

And also, How can I see what BR_Destroyer is? I tried setting a cmp to that but nothing shows.

br_destroyer is the Bretonia Destroyer

The easiest way to see the hardpoints by name is to look in the loadout files;

loadouts.ini - Fighters, freighters
loadouts_special.ini - Battleships, cruisers, gunboats, destroyers
loadouts_utility.ini - Transports, trains, repair ships, heavy lifters, etc

But that will only show you the hardpoints DA used in the game, some ships have unused hardpoints, see below.

The next way is to use the UTF editor (avaliable on this site) to open up the *.cmp files. Once you have the cmp file open just browse through the node tree on the left side of the screen paying special attention to the "hardpoint" nodes. In there you will see fixed and/or "revolute" hardpoints, opening those nodes will list all of the hardpoints on that part of the ship. In most cases you will need to look through more than on ship part (in the same cmp file) to see all of the hardpoints. The ship parts are named something like "destroyerLOD" or "port_engineLOD" but when in doubt you can just click on every little "+" you see and look for hardpoints.
