Nomad gunship turrets invisible?

I'm trying to mount Nomad turrets (nickname = nomad_turret01_mark01, ids_name = 263528) on my ship, but they won't show up. They seem to mount, aim, and shoot fine, they're just invisible.

I looked at the turret's cmp file with UTF editor, and it seems the material and texture libraries are embedded inside it. I'm not sure what the nomad_fx.txm file (the turret's "material_library" reference) is supposed to do.

Has anyone had any luck making the Nomad gunship turrets visible when they are mounted on non-Nomad vessels?

I just assumed, when I used these, that there wasn't an actual model for the turret. It's the same way with the many Nomad Laser weapons, the ones that you'll see in mods occasionally and can't typically use in the default game.

There is a model for the turrets on the Nomad battleships and gunboats; they're even visible when they are attached to those ships, and when floating about as lootable items. The problem is, when the turrets are mounted on a ship that doesn't use the Nomad textures and effects, they are invisible.

After some experimenting, I still haven't gotten the Nomad gunship turrets to appear on non-Nomad ships. So far the only thing I've found is that the problem is most likely within the no_gunship_turret.cmp file itself, possibly a flag somewhere... Does anyone know exactly what the "Type" nodes in the Material library do?
