Ok then T.

I have rechecked your mod, this time looking for links to newmars and they are not present. So I will take your word for it that the HU systems where not active and their presence was an over sight on your point. However please remove the HU systems from your mod before the next release.

I would strongly advise you keep more careful notes in the future, simply packing up everything is not a good way to release mods. You could probably cut the mod in half by filter out whats needed and whats not.

I appologuises if I over reacted to what appears to be simply bad book keeping.

My records show you have Version 5 installed.

Here is a link to the old release version you have installed in your mod, it should help you track down what files that need removing.

http://www.respawn.co.uk/temp/HostileUniverseV5.exe

Bascially everything from V5 below /data/systems/
But you should check data/missions/encounters and Data/solar/ + asteriods + Nebulas for other obselete files too. The entire HU V5 install is packed into your mod and most if it would be useless if the systems are not enabled. You may also find your solararch and stararch files are corrupt as well as any other arch files from HU you are using. These bugs where fixed in V6 of HU. Also the nial weapons files are useless, i have not finished them yet.

There are probably more but i forget.

Anyway, your DLL also contains tons of stuff from HU thats not need if its disabled. It has news, rumours, base names and systems names that are newmars related. You dont need to remove them but they are making your mod bigger for no good reason. Over writing those entries would be a good idea at some point.

Giskard, no hard feelings here.

Will remove what you say, will not waste time to cut a sript or DLL's now if you allow. We made an agreement & I was ok with it. Here you say no, and that was not true. You said I've done things that I haven't done. You angry on people taking your works with no permision. That is not me.
Bombs, flames, poissons sent to private. No reason for people to see how I cut you into pieces for that.

Tygrys:

Im glad the way things looked where not as they actually where. My faith in human nature has taken a battering recently and the last thing i needed to see was a guy that appears to be straight, honest and good to talk too actuallying something very different.

I am happy that I can actually trust you, trust is a big thing in my book but trusting first and waiting to be disappointed has caused me lots of hassle in the past.

Clearly im getting too touchy over this and its effecting how i treat others. I will endevour to not let the rip offs effect my attitude towards others in this way in the future.

This was probably both our faults, mine for not checking with you first and yours for leaving the files in so this misunderstanding could happen.

However, as a sign of true nature I will start treating this community as i have treated others and not let the few bad apples spoil it for the decent mod makers our there. Respawn will as a result of this start hosting source material for other mod makers to use and make stuff of their own with.

I think, that would promote the right attitude amongst noobs if milkshape models where available for them to try, all setup with textures along with other things.

I believe you will like what you see Tygrys.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

PS HU systems are still off limits, disabled or not. Private use is fine, but no releasing them as part of other mods. Thats my one and only request.

Giskard,

You put honey on my heart.
We have some bad moments here, but such things makes us even stronger.
However, the fact that I'm not so bad doesen't mean all others will also be such.
Keep that in mind.

Yup T, i know what you mean.

Still the bad ens can see how i responded and read my warnings that whilst i made a mistake here I will do it again if somebody does rip off my mod this way.

The message is clean for those that might try. Though mistakes do happen has they did here.

BTW check out the ringworld thread. Im making a system and the developement thread is in this forum. The final version will be made public then im going to modify it and create a private version for HU. Im hoping other mod makers will also modify the public version so it suits their mods better too.
