Star Wars: Empires... Mon Cals and TIEs (and Frigates!), Oh

I'm not quite sure whether to call the TIE the Advanced, or the Avenger... all I know is that I wouln't want a squadron of these on my tail!

The Mon Cal Cruiser (MC80a) is courtesy of Eilelwen, one of our modellers...

Special thanks to Darksaber (http://www.darksaber.freeserve.co.uk) for letting us use his models... like the TIE you see below.

We'll be releasing our Phase 1 patch for SW:Empires in a couple of weeks.. keep a look out on our forums for details, download locations, and server addresses.

We'll also advertise it on Lancer's Reactor when the time comes.

The MC80a Mon Cal Cruiser won't be pilotable (not yet, anyways!), but it will feature prominently as a base, and in missions and encounters...

EG the way the vanish suddenly when your start to turn away from them.

Well, apparently using the SUR file for the rhineland battleship was good enough... as well as a few other tiny tweaks.

Also, we figured out LODs, so it isn't a big deal to put one of those in.

I have to say those ships look awesome! I wish I could do battleships. Or ships at all :p
