Mods have developed somewhat.

Hello all.

I love the way the big mods are developing these days. They are moving away from the "been there done that style" of most mods into new areas. Its a very exciting time i think.

Even some of the new mod makers that contact me for help are thinking outside the box and coming up with some real good ideas. So theres a few small mods in the works that will be equally as cool.

I think the days of combining all mods into 1 mod like EVERYBODY seemed to be doing a few weeks ago are fading away slowly.

No more Reballace + B5 + Starwars + HU = all in one super mod thats a jack of all trades and no where near as good as some of the mods they copied. I think a lot of mod makers lost direction in their mods for while. EG B5 mod with starwars ships in it ? One of many examples. However its great to see them finding new directions now.

I just wish more mod makers that get deeply involved in their own work would drop by here occasionally for a chat about stuff. Mods and forum chats dont seem to go together for some people. Time limitations I suppose. Been in that boat my self.

I'd chat more with you giskard, but I've seem to run out of stupid questions to email you with

Well, unless you've cracked that whole cockpit view placement thing...

I think the forum is doing fairly well though, all things considered. It's a pain to sort through all of the rubbish to get to the good stuff but it's usually worth it in the end. Think we could get all the "l337 hax0r" guys to put the word "Rubbish" at the begining of every subject they start?
