Changing This and That...ummm...Help?

I was wondering..how do you chang max/optimal weapon classes for ship and if your gonna do an example can you do it with a Dagger

Like make it have Class 10 weapons 12500 Armor basically,same stats as titan (i just like dagger model)

And Have a good power capacity too handle class 10 weapons. And dont forget class 10 shields!

Im really new so it would help me alot if i got help,when i tried it i thought i had it until i went too buffalo ship dealer and cliked on ship icon and the ship screen went away,i cliked again it went away etc etc

Those changes *should* work. As for power you need to mess with the power plant and i dont know what file there in............

The powerplant data is stored in DATA\EQUIPMENT\Misc_Equip.ini
but you have to find out which powerplant goes with your ship. most times it is just the nickname of your ship + _power01 (i.e. Dragon = ku_elite, ku_elite's powerplant is ku_elite_power01)

then you can edit the capacity, charge rate etc.

OR

you can find your ship package in DATA\EQUIPMENT\Goods.ini, which says which parts come with your ship (Lights, Contrails, Scanner, Engine, Tractor Beam, Powerplant, Shield), and give it a better powerplant, one from a better ship.

Alright what happened?!? i checked again but ships have dissapered ship screen goes away What can i do too stop this? is it because my files are in Readable Writing or what? they are there when i hadent changed them into Writing...ill reinstall but i dont think itll work HELP PLEASE

well how are you putting packages in game?

Heres an example at manhattan. You could take the endvalues from the rhino and put them with the dagger . That will usually make all other ships buyable there, not there. So you can flip the values. that usually works

Open Goods.ini find bwf_package (its the DAGGER Package) and change the line that says
addon = bw_fighter_power01, internal, 1
to
addon = co_elite2_power01, internal, 1
which is the powerplant of the titan

OR

Open Misc_Equip.ini find
bw_fighter_power01 (the powerplant for the Dagger)
and change the capacity and charge_rate values to whatever you want
