NEWBIE IS CONFUSED AND NEEDS HELP PLEASE !!!!!!!!

Please help me, i want to create a ship but i don't know how to do it because i don't know how to download a ship creator (if there is such a thing) and i really don't understand all these file types, so please can someone give me the low down on these files types and how to create ships aswell as any possible links to any ship creation programs. Any info would be appreciated so thx in advance !

One of the programs the modders use is called MildShape 3d
the web site is click here I know that it can be a pain but there is information on making ships all over this site you just have to find it.

Talk a look through Lancers reactors download area too and grab the cmp exporter for milkshape. Make your mods in milkshape, save them in milkshapes forum and when the ships ready, export them as freelancer cmp files and place them somewhere in the data/ships/xxxx folder.

Then go to the tutorial forum and look for a good ship tutorial that covers adding the ships to the game. Everything you need is there but to help you heres a list of topics you will need to look for.

Ships.
Hardpoints.
Infocards (making dlls).
Market_ships

The forums search function will help you here.
