HELP: my import ships have no turret view

HELP: my import ships have no turret view

I know how to make .cmp & .mat files
The textures + ships show up fine in the game.
But fore some reasons my import ships have no turret views. I press 'H' key and the ships are invisible. Only the flaming flare of the engines are visible.

Did I missed a step when export the mesh to .cmp?
I saved the texture files to .tga 24 bits and flip upside down. I don't see anything about uncompress .tga when using Photoshop v. 6.
The .tga files can be any size, right?

Turret view is designated in the shiparch.

cockpit = cockpits\javelin\javelin.ini
This line refers to the file called javelin in the folder. The insides of the ini should look something like this:

mesh = cockpits\liberty\models\li_freighter_cockpit.cmp
int_brightness = 0.500000
head_turn = 50, 50

[CockpitCamera

[TurretCamera
tether = 0.000000, 50, 300
