Weapons Classes

I'm about to edit the stats of an original ship (specifically the Anubis), and I know how to change armor rating and all that but how do I edit the Optimal and Maximum Weapons Class? I want to make it 9/10. Thanks in advance!

BTW, I discovered that I have to change the hardpoints individually. What shall I change them to? As I said before, I want everyone class 10.

Just copy one of the exiting lines for the weapon hardpoints, you'll see something like:

hp_type = hp_gun_special_6, HpWeapon01, HpWeapon02, etc...

the "hp_gun_special_6" is the weapon class, in this case class 6, and the "HpWeapon##" are the actual hardpoints that can use that class. All you have to do is fill out the set so you have all of the weapon clases that you want, don't just add "hp_gun_special_10 though as that will only let you take class 10 guns, not class 10 and below. You can take a look at one of the existing very heavy fighters for a good example, just search the file for ge_fighter6, bw_elite2 or co_elite2 those are the Eagle, Sabre and Titan repectively.

Hmm... I changed the hit_pts line of the Anubis to 14200, but the armor rating is still at 4200. Is this the wrong line? BTW, I loaded a save game that already had Anubis, the hardpoint tweaking worked well, along with the shield hardpoint. Thanks again!

Ooops... Sorry about the last one... it was just the infocard which said 4200... stupid me

Heh, infocards get you every time

No problem by the way, and you might want to search around the forums, that anubis has room for three torpedo launchers, three thruster mounts and a few more weapons than then one the player can normally buy.
