Why is nobody helping me!? This is, after all, an editing f

Please, anybody that has the slightest inkling of MODing knoledge please tell me what must be done to change ship/station stats and what software is required. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is it that most of the techincal issues are being answered instead of MODing questions from myself and others, IN A MODING FORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your kindness.

*sigh*

it might be because we have an entire section of the forums given over to tutorials here and another chunk given over to the programs you need to do it here and get fed up of people being too lazy to use the search button or the odd brain cell or two

and ,just so you know, those "technical questions" ARE modding - threads like this are what i like to call "wasting bandwidth" .when im in a good mood at any rate.

yes its almost 6 am for me and no im not happy about it

I agree with ^. Normally I'm quite helpful, and I'd love to help, but only after you've searched the forums with the seach function!

I too had never thought of modding a game before. I just looked around the forums, downloaded the tools, read a few tutorials and tried things out.

You can't expect people to stop their own mod work to teach you how. This isn't a charity and there is no personal mod making service. There are plenty of tutorials, written by people who are trying to share their knowledge and work, in their own time. Just search, and read through them. The answers to your questions are already posted. Mostly many, many times.

This forum had thousands of members last time I looked. What would happen if every one asked the same question?

Well, here's what allways works for me as far as getting answers or assistance goes.

1) State your problem or objective clearly. Proper (or at least close) use of spelling, grammar and punctuation is a plus if you want intelligent, helpful repsonses. Typos are ok, but if "u try 2 b l337" you'll only get "l337" responses.

2) Explain what you have tried so far to acheive your goal. For example, have you searched the tutorials already? or perhaps you've already tried to implement the changes but the results were not as expected.

3) Politely ask for assistance and/or suggestions.

4) Avoid appearing angry, irrational, immature or otherwise unpleasant. A post that reads, "This SUCKS! nothing works!" will probably not get many helpful repsonses.
