The Porche ship Info files?

I have integrated the excellent work by Porche into my files myself, because FLmod doesnt seem to understand the files that I have on my computer. The wrinkle that I have hit is there is no ship info for any of Porches beatiful ships.
Is this not what the swshipsinfo.dll is suposed to provide?
I have put everything where the script file would have and still this error persists.
Any sugestions?

Make sure to edit the Freelancer.ini file so it includes the swshipinfo.dll.

***Make sure to use an editor that can save in unicode, ex Wordpad****

If not saved in correct format your Freelancer will not load and you will have to replace the corrupted Freelancer.ini file.

FLMOD does all this for you without any risk of damaging your Freelancer.ini file.

In the Freelancer.ini under Resources add the following line at the end:

DLL = swshipinfo.dll ; swshipinfo dll

Example:
[Resources
DLL = InfoCards.dll ; Contains all infocard text resources
DLL = MiscText.dll ; Contains other bulk text resource: rumor, offer, and mission text
DLL = NameResources.dll ; Contains names of things, primarily.
DLL = EquipResources.dll ;Contains names of equipment (in string table) and infocards for equipment (in HTML resources)
DLL = OfferBribeResources.dll ; Contains random mission offers and bribes
DLL = MiscTextInfo2.dll ;Contains MP UI elements as well as other misc. text
DLL = swshipinfo.dll ; swshipinfo.dll

Hope this helps,
Porsche

porsche, im pretty sure that you can save ini files with basic ansi encoding, it is only if you are importing files into a dll with reshack, etc, that you need to save in unicode, i have always saved my ini files in ansi format and have never had a problem

I adjusted the hit points, bots/shields, and such in both the script and the dll in the latest Starwars Ship patch from Porsche. The changes took effect in the game, but the ship info does not show up. At any of the ship info screens its gives a title "IDS?" and no additional info.

I edited the swshipinfo.dll file using XVI32, a hex editor. I don't know much about editing these kind of files. I found the 2 entries (I know of from looking at the file in ResHacker?) for each parameter I wanted to change and made them and then saved the file. Am I doing something wrong like missing a checksum or other sections at the end or something. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Nevermind, I was doing it the hard way and probably missed an alternating 00. I'll try again using ResHacker only. Note to self: Always use search features in forums - no matter how far back you may have to go!!
