Can you add commands into any part of Freelancer?

After all my years of tweaking ini files for other programs, I never really bothered with commands except for minor .bat files. I'm pretty sure it is impossible because I don't think it is not the right kind of file, but I need to know for sure:

Q1 Is adding command lines to ini files acceptable by a program? Such as IF THEN AND ORs?

Q2 Is it possible to make the program think it is linking to a commodity or ship or whatever in its ini file, instead directing it to a .bat or executable file? Or anywhere in any of the files can a line be inserted to link to something else? If a file link is possible, but not specifically to a bat or exe than can one disguise a bat or exe as the right file?

Q3 Anybody else have ways or ideas how to make the Universe more dynamic?

I read in a post somewhere someone had edited loaded files while still in the ram, to mimic changing events. More info on that would also be welcome.

Read the Editing Tools forum about '.thn' file format (scripts). The scripts were writed in 'Lua' programming language but the core of the game is C/C++...
Definetly, you could... 'use some commands', bypass some scenes or add new ones. This is not an easy step!
There are links to the tools that you need and some info about.

Unfortunately C++ is beyond my ability, my finances, my interest and my patience. I won't be going down that route. I was hoping to work with simpler commands, but if it isn't possible ... it isn't possible. C'est la vie.
