just noticed something. a y wing could never hold mroe cargo then an ingame freighter. and if i remember correctly, it has crap hull. never more than something liek a sabre.

You know, creepily enough, I was playing Force Commander today. (Old, but still good).

Had a skirmish with the Imperials. Built a Landing Pad, a flight of Y-Wings, sent them out to cause damage and thought: I hope Porsche releases a Y-Wing soon.

Boy was I lucky.

Wow. That model is amazing. Better than almost all the custom ships I've seen thus far. Bravo, it must look amazing in motion.

The Y-Wing was a bomber though; I pray it has slow manuverability but should have high armor? And from what I remember in my X-Wing days, it had 4 guns. Two lasers, two ion cannons. Lasers below cockpit, ion cannons above.

Now if someone would only make a TIE Defender or TIE Advanced.........drool.

There is a TIE Defender out there in the TIE-Pack, together with a TIE Fighter an a TIE Interceptor, haven't seen a TIE Advanced yet, best TIE ever

The Y-Wing was slower than an X-W and less maneuverable, but it could take much more punishment. It has two lasers and two Ion (EMP) guns and two proton torpedo launchers with 5 torps in each.

Unless you know a guy who has a friend who knows someone that has a buddy who has a brother who knows a girl who dates a guy that plays for a team which has a player who knows a dude who has a sister who knows a cheerleader that's flirted with a guy who hangs out with a bloke who can 'get' it for you for $10.

Therefore leaving you with a half-rip broken 3DSM that doesn't work because it's missing 60% of the files needed to run, on a cd that has more scratches on it than a catfight between Monica Lewinsky and Hilary Clinton.

However, I don't do 3D modelling, so I wouldn't know about anything like that.

Your best bet is to try eBay, or see if you can't find a PC Magazine that has an older version of the program for free.

Who needs 3D studio...Ive done all these models in Milkshape ($25).

I use Deep Exploration to view the models and then make them in Milkshape.

You can try using a reduce tool, but for me it never works..polys are all jagged and it just doesnt look right.

Plus by creating the models yourself you can control the groupings..so when it come times to skin the model you have complete control.

I use PSP7.0 which is only like $70 to do my textures.

It doesnt cost to much...so get to modding!!! : }
