Has anyone thought about a Privateer mod?
Sorry if anyone has ever thought up this one before, but I was just wondering if anyone has ever thought about creating the ships from Privateer for use as a mod in Freelancer? Privateer was a classic, and I would love to see those ships again in this game.
My ideas for the ships could be this:
The Tarsus: The basic freighter, with four weapon slots, a small-medium sized cargo hold and not much else really...
The Orion: A small heavy fighter with very large shields and armour, a decent cargo hold as well as a rear turret, although turns rather slowly and only has 3 weapon slots
The Galaxy: A massive frieghter with 4 weapon slots, and 2 turrets, one at the top, one at the bottom (though I think we could change this to four turrets for Freelancer, unless that's too much...), and a huge cargo capacity, but being a freighter is the slowest in maneuverability and is only slightly faster than a Tarsus.
The Centurion: Very Heavy Fighter that is very fast and very maneuverable (although big), has 6 weapon slots and a rear turret. Only weakness is that it is slightly under-armoured, as well as having limited cargo...
