I love this game so much , but i feel sorry for DA as i have looked through the ini files and there is much that should be in the game. i believe there were going to be more systems and lvl10 shields etc. but miscrosoft always ruins everything. I am glad it still is easy to mod.

Freelancer is indeed a wonderful game, and might have even been better if digitalANViL were in charge of the final touches instead of Microsoft.

I mean, why binary-encode the INI files if the game can read ASCII versions just fine? I doubt digitalANViL did that... And even after decoding the INI files, there are apparently some items that were hard-coded into the game when there are settings that suggest they weren't supposed to be hard-coded. Very suspicious...

I hope there'll be a patch soon that will make the hard-coded settings editable.

Even with few faults, this is one the best games I ever spent $50 on. It wa even more fun after SP ends. I'm not a MP person but the Freelancer universe is limitless. You can add basically anything you want to it.

Theres something called opinions, i love the game, i also love complaining, why not have both?

Heretic

Why is this in the General Editing forum?

Or must I now make a topic that involves me shouting a lot, slagging off various people, and telling them not to post topics in the wrong forums?

People are entitled to say what they want, where they want to. Even if that means they don't like Freelancer. Why should one person be allowed to post comments about how much they like Freelancer, while another should not be allowed to post about how much they hate it?

You have a choice to ignore them, correct them or even agree. Opinions don't make the game any less excellent, and isn't going to cause Freelancer to suddenly vanish from existance, so I can't see why it bothers people too much. Unless this is another self-rightous topic, which it sounds like.

Had it not been for people commenting about which parts of Freelancer they don't like, you wouldn't see half of the Mods that fix those parts out now. Remember that.
