ids = #### Does Anyone Know How to Make Your Own IDS?

I have looked EVERYWERE for just on how to change the name of the bases, planets, and tradelanes. Could someone point me in a direction of were i might find a tuturiol on how to do this? My system is almost complete, and this is the last step i need. It's kind of wierd having a planet's name "Leeds->LD-14, Base".
Am i the only one that this "idea" came to?

Somehow I doubt you have looked everywhere, as this is a common topic. try searching for "infocard" . Those are where all the names and descriptions are kept. You will need a good editor, I use Visual Studio. You are going to have to get into the dlls and edit the binary.

There are tutorials on this. Try searching in the tutorials forum for a start.

No problem Zook. I apologizew for tone as well. Some people have been asking the same questions over and over.

They are infocards, and as far as I know, all are contained in the .dlls in the /exe directory. Some to be aware of.

nameresources.dll
infocards.dll
equipresources.dll <If I remember correctly
shipresources.dll <ditto

Just check out /exe. You will need to open them as resources with a good editor.
