The only way I've found of transfering accounts is to copy the my documents/my games/freelancer/accts/multiplayer folder to the machine you want to play on. My friend and I do this, so either of us can host the server.

Incase you didnt notice, noone else tried to help. In future it might help if you didnt take the piss out of people who at least attempt to help you.

Also, from what I can tell... you are saying one of three things. Either:
1)Your friend has been playing MP by himself on your server and you want to join him... but then I dont see what the problem is...
2)Your friend has been playing MP by himself on his own server, in which case you would have to transfer his account to your server.
3)You want to allow him access to your server... and somehow his account will be uptodate?

The server lists people who have been ON your server. Not people you have allowed access to. Simply by joining a server you can create your character.
As MP Accounts are saved on the server, no amount of editing ini's is gonna let you play a different account on a different server.

(I'm sorry I don't know what a MAC or NIC is... but by the looks of it... neither does anyone else...)

I think I just understood what you want to do... you want to use his own account for yourself? Copy his account so you can both use it? Either way it can be done. Just rename the folders in accts/multiplayer. You'll have his name though.

When I asked, I was wanting to transfer my friend's character from his server to mine so he/we didn't have to start over, but we ended up doing so anyway, with fabulous results. It's nice that in the future I'll be able to migrate other people to the server though. Thanks again for the help.
