Multi modding...?

I am very new to this modding stuff and i was wandering how or even if it is possible to merge together different mods, for example: get two or more different ship mods that are usually incompatible, put them together so they all run at once.

Ship mods are usually incompatible because they either use the same file name, id #'s, same start location, etc. They can be made compatible by reworking their ini's so that they do not share any of these.

Yes it is possible to use multiple mods, but you will have to go through an re-write them to be compatible. I am currently doing this for all my mods, to make one big mod pack. It's a pain in the butt.
