Can you change rank requirements?

Hi guys,
I am another newbie to Freelancer modding but a long tim veteran of modding in general. I have been working on a MP mod for FL to make it harder and longer to play, without messing up the balance. Now, I have been looking hard for a file that may control the requirements for gaining rank, so you can't just get to level 38 in less than a day of play.
So I would like to increase the credits you need to gain each rank, but I am unsuccessful in finding where that is controlled from.

Does anyone know if that is possable, and if it is, where that setting can be found?

As far as I know there are other problems if you want to add more levels, haven't tried it myself yet

you can add up to level 40, over level 40 you need to do .dll modding (dont know how or which yet).

Ahh excellent, many thanks guys, that helps emensely, does this also effect MP games? or is that just a SP thing?

MP aswell, yet the clients need the mod aswell.

perfect, I have done it and it works great, but now I would like to see if I can go beyond lvl 40 with it.
Problem is I can't seem to find any dll files that contain the limitation for ranks.

Anyone have any clues as to which dll or other file may contain the lvl limitation settings?

hm, not really.

but the patch DA is currently working on allows up to level 100 (most likely, noone has reached it so far

I must add my thanks for this post, Ive been looking for this for a while

I've changed the level requirements on mine to be 110% of the previous level with further increases at levels 20, 25, 30 and 35. Now you need to be worth $100 million to get level 38, which makes the game a lot harder and longer to play - as it should have been imho.
