Freelancer Alpha 1 - 1

During one MP game with my friend, I was 1-1 and he said he was 1-2. I was wondering if there was any way to change what they referred to you as (in both SP and MP) The question is, is there a vocalization for all factions and can you change from being Alpha 1 - 1 to something else. I know that if you go to the Dragons home base the Traffic Controller will say things like incoming Dragon patrol or something, but does each voice for traffic control have a vocalization for the word Dragon. Personally I think it would be pretty cool if I could change from being Freelancer 1-1 to Dragon (insert number or color here)

(My apologies if this has been asked before somewhere else, but I haven't the patience to scroll through a years worth of topics :p)

I am awesomer than you.

It is possible to change the speech files for the game, like refering to the system, ship type, so on. thoese 're-ussable' speech, however i have run into a snag in trying to get 'new' speech files to PLAY, they work, *sees the entrys i add and so on* but it will not play the new wave, as i have stated many times before i beilive these new waves MUST be placed in the utf files corrispoinding to the type of voice your editing, however the utf files for wavs are much diffrent if you look at them in the utf editor. So at this time i can not figure out how to add them correctly into the utf files. This is where i have ran into the snag, so it is possible, we just havn't figured out that last step.

Is it possible to change which existing wavs are used when referring to you? Like having the controller say dragon instead of freelancer? (Since there is a voice of a controller saying Dragon?)

I noticed that just about every voice actor in the game does a voice for everyone. Pilots, people in bars, monkeys, and space traffic controllers. Each of the pilots say their group affiliation when hailed. I would still like to know if it would be possible to take whatever prompts them to say Freelancer Alpha one dash one and make it tell them to say something like Corsair gold seven or Dragon Red Nine.

It is possible to change the music for systems and such. I know cause i changed the liberty battle music to the one music where it sounds like your in a big chase

All you have to do is find a sutible Wave file, find the name of the music you want changed, change the name of the wave file to that. There you go.

Well pretty much every voice actor in the game says Freelancer. Just like almost every voice actor says Corsaire or Dragon. I can't find the sound files though.

Though I would like to find the sound file where the guy says "Trent! You old Guy Jane! (instead of Gaijin)" and replace it.

I've started considering having my wife and I re-do the computer voice for the ship. (That "loa-ded in-to car-go hold" voice kills me) Maybe do multi-lingual voices (since we know some german) for our deutsche freunde. The reason for the interest is that I was poking about in one of the ini files and saw that the computer was set for female. All I need to know is where the heck the computer lady's voice is stored and a voice distorter to add the little echo-ey thing to our voices. Heheheh, too bad I can't get Majel Roddenberry, huh?

Recorder + TV = mucho voices

" In Defeat, Malice; In Victory, Revenge[! "

It'll be easier for me to record my own voice and add the echo than to wait for the appropriate "Loaded into cargo hold" to come on TV.
