radio chatter

most of the audio can be found in
FREELANCER/DATA/AUDIO and subfolders

though the extention says .wav, they are actually
22050 hz, 16-bit mono files using
Microsoft ACM:MPEG-layer 3 compression

I have found that shortening or lengthening some files can mess things up where the computer is mixing that "random" effect, so try to keep the files the exact same length.

also, if you don't compress your .wav files in that ACM:MPEG-3 format, either they don't play or you get an error msg.

have fun... currently, instead of hearing, "I'm preparing to take on Freelancer" I hear, "There are monkeyboys in the facility" <g> Gradually substituting prime sf dialogue from Buckaroo Banzai, Star Trek, Planet of the Apes and so on.

all by hand so far, no script made for an audio mod. But i'm contemplating it :}

"I hear something... CONFERENCE ROOM!"
