cracking .sur files

A lot of people are releasing new ships for FL. But since the .sur files, the ones defining the volume of a ship to intersect with say, projectiles, haven't been cracked yet, they have to use existing volumes from FL ships. Aawkward.

Looking in a .dll, I found a LOT of text output by Qhull

This is a FREEWARE package that generates convex hulls (a set of planes defining a convex volume) from a set of points. They used it in FL.

I'm no modeler. So I ask, is this useful
