STRANGE hardpoints

There are a lot of hardpoint types i still don't get. The Mining ship is a good example. In \DATA\SHIPS\UTILITY\MINING\mining.cmp

HpDustXX
HpExhaustXX ;engine trails? i thought those came from HpEngineXX
HpMount ;i know shields deal with this, but how?
HpSuckXX, HpBlowXX

I'd like to know which of these have a purpose and which are dead ends.

sonny, what you got there is the potential for more guns - nothing else matters (not even shields), so dont ask questions .

i think HPExhaust is when you hit afterburners the smoke traill.. not sure

If in doubt, don't bother with the existing hardpoints. It is fairly easy to add your own and I created a tutorial for it. Just search for "Creating new hardpoints" on this forum.

actually, what if exhaust meant exhaust fumes? like the ones in the mining station?
