Problems when entering the jump hole

In certain parts of the game when making an attempt to jump the jump hole, my computer reboots on me. Now can someone help me figure out what's wrong?...is there a mod that can just skip the jump hole and move on with the mission? And another thing...where are the saved files located?...Thanks

It reboots?! Sounds like you need a better operating system. Saved games under XP are in:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts\SinglePlayer
Not sure about where they are under other OS's.
