***NEED HELP GETTIGN SERVER RUNNING***

I'm having some problems gettign my server seen by others. I have a linksys router that i'm hooked up to. I know there is a built in firewall but i'm not sure if i need to open ports or which ones if so and to open ports i need to know my ip address, but i don't know how to find that out so if someone could tell me with that i would appresiate it. Thanks

I use a linksys too. Make sure you have the latest firmware.

Make sure the computer you are HOSTING the server on has DMZ enabled.

Most of the time they end in .100

You also might want to open the common ports for the game. I don't have the numbers right at the moment.

I know its in the .100s for the ip address but i don't know excatly and you need to knwo excatly to set the DMZ host. Isn't there a command i can type in RUN or somthign?

If you're running w98 or w98se (maybe wME as well), just type winipcfg at the run. For XP, you can find the IP thru the network portion of control panel. Double-click on the network connection icon, and choose the second tab.
