Please help me with FL mod manager (8)

First of all, i must say that i have ABSOLUTELY no experiance with editing, mods and find the task of even opening a simple .INI file frighteningly complicated

Well, I downloaded and installed FL mod manager 8 with great delight, click on one of the Battleship mods and activate them, load up Freelancer, and here i am hit with the realisation that i have absolutely NO IDEA of what to do next. I opened an Autosave, nothing. Looked down for new save games, nothing. Can someone please explain in Baby language exactly what to do?

Lol, I have to sleep sometime!

Also enable the NoStory mod, then start a new game. Go to the Shipyard in Manhattan, and you'll see the battleship up for sale there.

I know, it probably should have more info on exactly what to do when the battleship mod is enabled; I'll see about that for the next version.

Ok, I was reading these Posts, and was hoping to get Info from, and I do not see the answer to the Original questions, its almost like it was deleted. Can some one post the answer to this question here? "Please help me with FL Mod Manager"
