reputation calculator *suggestion*

Has anybody here by chance found out how exactly player actions (destruction of faction-owned objects/ships, completing/failing faction missions, bribing of factions) influence the player's relations to each faction?
There are values for the relation of every faction to every other and to (I believe) their view on different player actions (not, however, brining) to be found in empathy.ini, which are believed to rule this, but so far I have not found out how exactly their effect on player/faction relations is calculated from them.
If we knew how this calculation works, it would be very handy to do a reputation calculator similar to the one we already have for trading - anybody up to such a task?

BTW, this subject came up in the spoilers forum here: http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/forum/t ... er&M=False
(thanks, Haen!)
I know it's not really a mod, but I thought my best chances were to place this question/request in this forum here

this forum isn't for mods only so, yeah, would be cool...
i *think* the calculation could be:
(liberty navy as example)
your reputation with them is 1 (the best).
you destroy a navy ship, that substracts 0.03 from your rep, now you have 0.97
you do a mission, but you fale (-0.045), your rep is now 0.925.
your next mission you abort (-0.0675), leaving you with 0.8575
now you do a mission, and succeed (+0.0859) and you have 0.9434.

my guess with what happens when you do missions or stuff for other factions would be that the outcome is multiplicated with the value that's in empathy.ini
for example you do a mission for the lsf (0.084). the "relationship value" is 0.4,
the lsf mission thus adds 0.0336 (0.084x0.4) to your Liberty navy rep.

Hmmm... that doesn't sound unreasonable, although I believe to have noticed that reputation changes seem to be going more slowly around 0 and faster towards 0.9. Also, they seem to stop at 0.9 unless they are plot-scripted.
What this doesn't cover is the effect bribing has. If I bribe faction x (so far had a relation of -0.1, changes this to 0.5, effectively adding 0.6 reputation points) will my relation to faction y (empathy towards x being -0.1) drop by 0.06 points?

Anyway, I'd be sure nice to have a calcualtor for this. *hint* *hint*
