after putting 0 friction and something like 1 mill elasticity, i knocked manhatten away from its docking ring.

Please try some further systems/planets. Are the planets perhaps bigger/smaller? Have the atmospheres changed (smaller/bigger radius from planet)?

here is a clue, im using the DEMO, i edited the constants.ini file, as you can see in my previous post, but you will get the same effect in the full version
