Request editing help

Is there a way to modified the m01.ini file to where after declining the first mission to have it put the player at level 38 and still continue the storyline. Been trying to figure out how to do this but been having not much luck.

Has anyone else figured out how to do it? Or can it done or not?

try d8alus' no story mod...
All single player missions are disabled, you only have to earn money to level up...

so you just want to *be* level 38 at the beginning of the game?

The level doesn't do much for you other than be a number. I got an idea on how to do this if that's what you're looking for.

In the m01.ini file I sort of figured out how to #1 Give myself a Eagle Fighter, #2 Give myself 100 Million Credits after declining to join the LSF. Yes I would like to know how to get Level 38 after declining to join the LSF but keep the storyline intact, so when later when or if I feel like I can start the storyline.
