Can someone please help with the mod manager?

I have the FLMM 0.16e or whatever the new one is. So I put my mod into the mod directory like it says. I don't know how to script the XML or whatever so can someone help me because it says "Problem Activating Mod" Whenever I activate it. Help please someone.

Same here

I'd like to activate one of the mods, but it keeps saying
"Error: file '\data\ships\shiparch.ini' doesn't exist"

I've created data\ships\shiparch.ini within the mod folder, but it doesn't seem to work for me. What am I doing wrong?

If you guys aren't using one of the included mods, could you e-mail me ALL the files for the mod that you're trying to get working? If I can duplicate your error, then I can almost certainly fix it

Actually, I *am* trying to use one of the included mods.

There ya are m8. I sent you the mod files in flmod format so you can duplicate the error. Thanks again.

OK, I got Cheese's problem figured out; he wasn't putting the data folder under the mods\cheesemodbeta3 folder.

FurryAngel, your problem is that FLMM can't find Freelancer's directory (like C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer). It looks in the registry for that information, and if the game is installed that info should be there. Is the game installed correctly?

Do you have the Trial version, FurryAngel? If so, that is your problem! I've made a new version of FLMM (v0.7 BETA), and that will work with the Trial version (as long as the activated mod(s) do too! I don't think any of the included mods do, though).

I have another issue with the mod manager, I think it might not be removing one of the pre-packaged mods that came with it correctly. My bro and I play on a lan, I went on my own and looked at the mods turned them on turned them off deleted the characters I had created and such, but then his game crashed whenever he tried to log into my server even though I had deactivated all the mods. However once he installed mod manager activated, then deactivated all the default mods it was working fine again. Were using v0.6 BTW

Try doing "Restore Backups" on both computers, and tell me if that fixes it.
