assigning names

In the "FL editing info" thread it is said that you can also change the _names_ of things. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the spot in this board where it is described HOW. (yep I searched rather thoroughly, but this place lacks a "search" button and things _are_ a wee little bit cluttered around here... )

I guess this has something to with the "ids_info"-ID that looks like a pointer to some central database file that apparently contains descriptive text strings for pretty much every object in FL - am I right with this?

My question is now: where is that info stored? Another INI would be sweet, but I didn't come across any obvious candidates. Or am I unlucky and the name strings are stored in the cmp-models?

Why? Well, I just implemented a new ship and now Iwant to give it a name.

The Names of things are stored in the nameresources.dll and the equipresources.dll. You can edit them with Reshack. And the strings
are 196608 + the id of the name out of the dll.
