LOL extra prawn in my hotmail account that i have had for like 5 years id because of this site? LOL sorry, but I belive the rule is that if you have a e-mail you will get spam. Doesn't even matter if you don't tell anybody your addy, at some point in time it will get spammed. All you can do is setup a few dummie addies on something (like a linux box router) and everytime the spam gets to big you jsut shut that account down and create a new one. just tell thoes that matter your new one

A very careful system of filters + never signing up on something I don't trust + NEVER EVER FORWARDING ANYTHING = no spam.

Yeah, anytime your email is posted on a website, it becomes free game. I'm on the Board of Directors for Protestant Campus Ministry where I go to College at...we used to post the emails of board members on our website until the pastor of a local Baptist church started getting spammed with porn mail

The ****s out there who do this stuff have crawlers that search through web pages looking for any email address they can find... People will also crawl through web pages to compile lists of email addresses which other people then buy so they can spam poor old you and me...

Just do what I do: put your Hotmail junk filter on exclusive, and have it put all e-mail from contacts, good mailing-lists, and e-mail with certain keywords into your inbox

Yeah thats way to go. I have a app i use on my hosting thru email. I can but what keywords I want and extentions first I block every bad word and rude words I know from adress then subject then content. works well better then schools filter
