Mission Editing - Possible?

Hey, first time poster... been lurking for a while. It's been a while since I've tried my hand at any modding, but I don't missions will be part of that any time soon. But has anyone found any information about random missions and how new random missions could be created? I imagine that this could break up some of the monotony of the game in its current state.

Are you asking if anyone has found a way to add new types of random missions, like maybe trade missions, or "assault the fleet" sorta missions? If so, then the answer is no. I dont believe anyone has found info on adding new missions. But like most of my posts, I really dont know. I am just telling you what I have read in other posts.

No, but several people (inclding myself, when I can tear myself from the game) are researching the subject at the moment.

Yes you can. I made several, then I replace them with the names of ones that are repeated in the random missions folder. You can script anything you want.

I've made random "assault the battleship" missions work except they seem to be invincible to torpedos...

I'm sure in a month we'll be much farther along than we are now, it's just a matter of exploring what we can change at the moment and making something out of it.

LorZach, I read some one talk about Battleships, they are treated like a Base. They have almost infinite health, you can edit the stats for health back down to something reasonable, but the stat data is not under ship but bases I think. There was a thread on this, but the forum does not have a search function. Or what happen to old post that fall off?

They have about 20k hp by default. What I mean by invincible to torpedos is I can shoot him a couple times with 4 class 10 guardians but 50 sunslayers crashing into his hull doesn't even scratch the paint.

Only the "Base" battleships that you see. There's actually a destroyable Battleship in the game. You see it in M4, when you launch from Manhattan.
