How to delete the Intro screens

If you look in your freelancer.ini file you'll spot this:

[Startup
;movie_file = movies\MGS_Logo_Final.wmv;
;movie_file = movies\DA_Logo_Final.wmv;
;movie_file = movies\FL_Intro.wmv;

Deleting that whole section, or making it into a comment (Thanks SuPaFrEaK) will just load up to the selection screen.

This doesnt affect multiplayer in any way... And instead of deleting the section, just comment it out by placing ;;; in front of each line. That way, if you want to restore the vids later, you can just delete the semi-colons

For example:

[Startup
;;;movie_file = movies\MGS_Logo_Final.wmv
;;;movie_file = movies\DA_Logo_Final.wmv
;;;movie_file = movies\FL_Intro.wmv

I can tell you something I did after the first time a I watched the intro...

Rename the Movies directory to something else...

Example:
Before - C:\****\Freelancer\DATA\MOVIES
After - C:\****\Freelancer\DATA\MOVIES_BAK

It'll try to call the movies but won't be able to....

And you don't have to edit an .ini file...

Yea but editing the ini file is easier and the ini file which contains the startup lines doesnt need to be bini'd.

How is it easier? I just don't understand what you mean by that...

My proposed way is just a little more safer without the chance something getting messed up, even by accident, just incase someone didn't want the intro scenes but didn't feel like messing with the .ini files.

Besides, it was just an alternative way of doing something.
What's wrong with having more than one way of doing things?
