Found me some new music, but...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Dusted off an old song, and its a keeper.

Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones

The show "Tour of Duty" was what got me intrested in it.

Post Tue Oct 30, 2007 8:28 pm

I used to love that show when I was a kid. I think everyone who ever watched it developed a love for Paint It Black.

you old fogey's can keep your vinyl records, they're obsolete and won't be considered relics for a few more decades most likely. Maybe then you might be able to make a few bucks off em

*Takes a big steamy piss on Dragonborn's list*

Refined indeed....I recommend an intensive 3 months course at the Mustantopian Institute of Musical Appreciation.

Post Wed Nov 07, 2007 9:55 pm

hoh? i don't have very much confidence in your tastes, one of the bands you recommended is named after a rodent and the other is named after one of the most brutal legal sports on the planet, I'll pass thank you. *Detonates a fuel air explosive over the mustantian campus flattening it*

Good thing you got those prentenders at the mustantian institute. Trying to imitate the Mustantopian Institute of Musical Appreciation deserves nothing less than swift retribution in the form of a fire bombing.

I have, they're not, they are, and I do. What's one of the hottest selling Christmas boys-toys tech gists this year? USB turntables, that's what, for all the baby boomers with huge vinyl collections of LPs and singles in their attics (and 78s in my case)

Vinyl will never die - club djs still use and prob will for years because it gives a warmer sound and is better suited to being easily manipulated and segued than digital sound. I even have a valve amplifier because analogue just sounds so much better to me than digital. And of course it's made in Britain, not China.

The only REAL music is:
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Megadeth
Children of Bodom
In Flames
Dark Tranquility
At the Gates
Nile
Accept
Black Sabbath
Dio
Annihilator
Arsis
Cacophony
Blood Stained Child
Ynqie Malmtsteen
Drowning Pool
Enya
Hammerfall
Helloween
Kalmah
Kamelot
Lamb of God
Norther
Some of the older Ozzy
Scorpions
Slayer
Sonata Arctica
Stormwarrior
Symphony X
Testament
Zao

Digital is cool for portability, CD's just plain suck but Vinyl is the bee's frickin knees, it's like a beautiful black piece of art. I spent 200 Mustantopian rouble's importing the Coldplay singles boxset on vinyl from Tawakalnistan earlier this year and it is one of the sexiest things I own.

ugh, cold play, are you sure you aren't related to my brother, he obsesses over them and jazz music.

Post Fri Nov 09, 2007 5:44 am

what's with the metal/death satanic/nihilistic stuff for everyone? it's horrible and sounds like road noise crossed with people being sick. dreadful. why can't you listen to something nice and lyrical that doesn't sound like people dying?

such as Abba, or the Carpenters - nice music that you can play while your mum's visiting. Not that Lily Allen or Amy Winelodge stuff though, can't be having any of that!

(all that awfulness is banned in Tawakalnistan, we only have happy songs that praise Our Glorious Leader, mock rabbits, and revel in the fulfillment of the latest quotas for the 5-Year Plan.)
