Whoa, Forum Reorganized

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Whoa, Forum Reorganized

A bit disconcerting but I think the new layout does make a tad more sense, to put the non-game-related stuff up top rather than on bottom.

Did you guys change the fonts for the forum, too? The spacing looks a bit different and such.

We finally hired a house keeper and she has a great broom.

Fonts look the same to me. At least in IE.

Finalday, are you STILL using IE? i've been trying to get to to switch for a good 4 years now!

i didn't even notice the change, since i set my bookmark to Off topic = no scrolling down 40 pages of forums i've no interest in!

Actually, I use IE7, Opera 9, Firefox 2.0 and Safari3.0

Indeed, the change was a bit of a surprise, but at least I no longer have a need to scroll all the way down the page before visiting the OT and "Hardware" forums .

You mean to say there are.....other....forums?

Nice changes!

it certainly looks very nice, can't complain about the aesthetics at all. However I'm not altogether sure that Off-Topic should be given so much weight near the top of the boards, after all, it's The Lancers Reactor, not the Off-Topic Reactor (or the Esquilax Reactor!) and it's the game(s) and mods that propel the site, and why people find us and still join up. Just a thought.

but I am pleased that the Hardware forum as a higher profile now, although again I don't think that it deserves to be quite so high. But maybe you all might start using it now instead of sticking everything in OT!

We need to find a few new games to add to the site.

And what's wrong with the "Esquilax Reactor", hmm? Oh, and didn't someone even create an online petition on this matter? If not, why not?!?

"Esquilax Reactor"

Sounds like a counter available laxitive product to me

"We need to find a few new games to add to the site."

yes, and to specify, we need P.C. (pronounced PEEE-SEEE) games that do not suck and don't make the community look rather retarded ( i cannot show my freelancer pride at WC conventions now! )

now the mod's judgement on coverage is not up to me to question... wait what am i saying lol - stick with games that are newer than the site if not from DA's stables! specifically i'm saying i wouldn't have given evochron alliance a forum because that game is older than TLR and EATS DONKEY NUTS anyways. you guys want to cover some promising games, you say, but then nobody has any news to repost from sector 13's development?

why is it that the coverage seems out of touch, dead, or just lazy? space sims are not dead people, your zeitgeist for playing them is! (and who can blame you? we'll never reach the stars at this rate.... why not just give up and die. PISS! )

imo the game discussion boards should be at the top. for those of you hitting 'pgup pgdn' in the forums.... get a bigger monitor and turn the resolution up, sheesh

Hmph! Again with the obvious and derivative puns! Are you Chips or ff? Bah! I'll be over here in my shadowy corner until you come up with some new material . *Disappears into shadows*

The problem with Space sims, is that no-one knows how to make good ones any more. They're either too thin on details, too thick on details and the atmosphere/story is straight from 1001 Cheesy Storylines About Space. The last one that I would consider good was Starlancer and that was 7 years ago, FL was okay but it fell short IMO. There are to many elite clones out there these days, I personally think they need to get back to the 'on-rails' type games, with specific and focused missions. All I know is i'd give my left nut if Chris Roberts would start making Space sim games again, he's the only one whose done it with some flair.
