My God I can't wait till Starcraft 2 comes out I think it will kick the crap out of Halo 3.
Look how old Starcraft is and its still being played. I love the Halo storyline but Halo1 Halo2 and Halo 3 pissed me off with the bloody cliffhanger endings. My opinion.... WOOT Halo has finally met its somewhat end!!!!

i dunno about that, Nars. seems like they left the ending open again for another uninspired sequel. I doubt we've really seen the end of this particular enormous cash-cow.
although i did read that Bungie might be splitting from Micro$oft like Aardman split from Dreamworks
although M$ do own Bungie lock, stock, and two smoking plasma rifles. So what's the beef there, me wonders?

The rumors have been confirmed Linky. They have split from MS, though MS still holds a minority ownership.

yeh, and M$ keep the Halo rights too, leaving Bungie free to do work for other platforms. Although they've been contracted to do more Halo games for M$ in the future. There's no way anyone's going to give up a money-spinner like that (bit like how EA can't give up Medal of Honour.)

MY GOD!!! Taw that might simply have been the best news I've heard in a looong time. Bungie no longer a peon of Microsuffer would make me a very very happy person. Oh yeah the comment about "the end of Halo" I had just beat the game got pissed off at the newest Halo cliffhanger and was just in a deranged state of mind. Sorry 'bout that.

don't worry you'll be getting more Halo in the future. As long as sufficient numbers of teenies can get their long-suffering mums and dads (hmmm wonder who that might be?) to part with their cash for more Halo fixation, the franchiose will be alive and kicking.
The Tawakalnistan Exchequer has already had to supply two generations of Xbox consoles and three full-price Halo games, and still gets moaned at because it wasn't the edition with the Master Chef's wobbly helmet or some such.
edit - I actually played it today in co-op mode with the Boy. I was rubbish. I can't use those console controllers.
